The following sections are going to be covered for the FE exam but I am absolutely sure that this area of science is as sweet as sugar, and if you mix it with some formula of honey it becomes even sweeter.
Atoms, Elements, and Compounds
Chemical reaction
Chemistry is basically the science that deals with what substances are made of. Before the natural philosophy was born, there was the territory of Gods and Goddesses, and they rules everything. That's how the myths were born and the Iliad and Odysseus were written. Then the natural philosophy tried to explain things and events in a more reasonable or sensible manner. Democritus was the first natural philosopher who suggested that substances are made of tiny compartments that can not be divided further smaller, and named them Atoms. The name comes from a + tomos (Greek) meaning indivisible. So in Chemistry we go down to the size of atoms, and then mix different atoms together and come up with larger units named molecules and discuss their properties and how this whole mixing (atomic bonding) works is explained.
As I try to go through the important material in the field of Chemistry, I will try to point to the main topics that an examinee should understand in order to comfortably answer the questions in that field. By the way, I am going to try to find a chemistry between myself and Chemistry!
